Shawn and Mike,

Mike, maybe you should talk Shawn out of selling the TR6 and just have him drop a V8 into his Triumph. That way you could take both cars to the Good Guys show.

Autoloc sells a few different kits for suicide doors. Here's a description of some of the products: http://www.thehoffmangroup.com/autoloc/suicideconfigure.lasso?step=operation - I can't recall where I got the kit/plans for the ones we used but it was from a street-rod parts place. The street rods have thin doors just like a bug but usually aren't as curved. A google search for "hidden hinge kit" turns up a few. They take a lot of work.

The single-window conversion works great. The only catch is that the shape of the chopped glass causes it to fall out of track slightly at the top near the B-pillar when rolling the windows up. I just hold it it place with a finger and it's fine. They are down most of the time otherwise. No noise at all, up or down.

Depends on how much money and time you want to spend on it. These were finished grey fiberglass fenders that I bought from "Innovations in Fiberglass", now known by a different name but you can google them with that term. You could literally bolt these on to your bug, but they might not line up perfecly. We had to modify all 4 fenders as well as the running boards to get them all to match up to each other and the body.
